Recently the Poppers Group, a part of Senco Brands in Cincinnati USA, is proud to have achieved the worldwide quality certification ISO / TS 16949: 2009 for companies based in Lelystad (The Netherlands), Warrington (UK) and Bremen (Germany).
High quality requirements
The global automotive industry sets high demands on product quality, productivity, competitiveness and continuous improvement of a product and company. The ISO / TS 16949: 2009 certification for the automotive industry includes the strictest technical specifications for a quality management system in a production environment and requires well documented, advanced quality management systems that ensure continuous process improvement.
Recognition as a reliable quality supplier
Within the Poppers Group, the certificate mainly concerns the design, development, production and supply of hog rings and pneumatic hog ring machines for the manufacture of car seats and benches. Throughout the certification process, Poppers has also improved its quality management system and drastically reduced possible quality risks. "This ISO / TS certificate demonstrates that our quality standard meets the requirements of our automotive customers and their OEM partners," said Michel van Paassen, Quality Manager of Poppers. "The implementation of certification has impacted our overall view on quality, which also means non-automotive customers will benefit from the process optimisations we've implemented for certification."
